We attract people who are totally committed to the single-minded pursuit of 'client excellence'.
Helen Fogarty - Secretary, Projects
It doesn't matter who you are, or what you do at Addleshaw Goddard, everyone is expected to perform at the very top of their game. All our people are highly skilled, pragmatic, professional and totally committed to the single minded pursuit of client excellence.
For me, that means supporting my team, and the client, through the many stages of a project from the work being awarded to us right through to financial close and any post-completion work beyond that. Throughout the life of a project (which could be anything from a couple of months to a couple of years!) I carry out any typing requirements, organise meetings and act as a point of contact for the client. Consequently, the client and I get to know each other very well and they know that they can rely on me to take messages, keep them appraised (as far as I am able) of the current status on the project, forward any documents they may require and deal with any minor queries they may have.
As the project draws to a close the meetings become more intense and documents have to be turned around in a much tighter time scale. This can often mean early mornings, late nights and little sleep for all concerned! However, the satisfaction and sense of relief seeing all the documents laid out on the table and signed does make all the effort worthwhile. Of course, at a later date, once everyone has recovered, there's always the post-completion dinner!
